
THE CHALLENGE
Astigarraga Kit Line is a market leader in Europe in wooden furniture kits. Using their know-how and their sales network, they decide to explore the garden furniture sector. After designing the first product concepts, they find themselves uncertain as to how they will be received by their clients and product users.
THE SOLUTION
It was decided to carry out a field study in France, the relevant market in the garden furniture sector. In order to understand consumers detailed interviews, usability tests with prototypes and participatory workshops were conducted. In this way, the most promising concepts and any necessary improvements were identified. Recommendations for new product design and merchandising were also gathered.
